Logarithmic Wideband Amplifier from FEMTO

Santa Rosa, CA. - FEMTO GmbH has introduced the new logarithmic wideband voltage amplifier HLVA-100.

This FEMTO device has a wide dynamic range of up to 80 dB. With a DC coupled input and a rise and fall time of just 5 ns the HLVA-100 is the ideal tool for the measurement of fast and high dynamic pulses. The input voltage noise is extremely low (2 nV/Hz1/2). Features include Adjustable Input Range, trimpots (for baseline adjustment when coupled with instruments like A/D converters or oscilloscopes, etc.) and an integrated sample & hold circuit for automated baseline correction of the amplifier. The HLVA-100 is switchable at the amplifier or remotely (using the 25 pin D-Sub connector). The amplifier is smartly laid out in a compact EMI shielded aluminum package with 50 Ohm terminated BNC connectors on the input and output.

Typical applications for this high dynamic logarithmic amplifier HLVA-100 include signal compression, time-resolved pulse and transient measurements, mass spectroscopy, particle detection and LIDAR systems.

FEMTO manufactures a line of high quality specialty amplifiers for signal recovery and processing. These products also include Low Noise Current Amplifiers, High and Low Frequency Voltage Amplifiers, High Speed GHz Amplifiers, Photoreceivers and Lock-In Amplifiers.
