Windows for Applications with Explosive Gases and/or Harsh Environments

Intex offers, as an option, detectors with windows for applications with explosive gasses or harsh environments:

Silicon AR AR coated, inexpensive, high transmission from 2.5µm,
robust and not affected by moisture 		1.1 - 14 µm
Sapphire Tough, scratch resistant, very transparent but cuts off at 6µm 0.1 - 5.0 µm
CaF2 High transmission to 8µm, but is a water soluble crystal 0.15 - 8.0 µm
BaF2 High transmission to 11µm, but is affected by moisture (less
than CaF2)		 0.5 – 10 µm
ZnSe Tough, good to 22µm, but has lower transmittance 0.6 - 20 µm
