MY Polymers leads the field in development of low refractive index materials (n=1.32 to 1.48) for optical adhesives, optical cladding & coating materials and optical encapsulation materials. They have a wide selection of UV Cured products. These low refractive materials are also available as moisture cured and pressure sensitive products.

MY Polymers manufactures low RI optical adhesives that are used for encapsulation, adhesion and cladding in various photonics applications, including:

  • fiber lasers pump combiners
  • couplers
  • optical fiber connectors
  • light guides
  • fiber recoating and more.

They also make other products that cover the whole range of RI from 1.32 to 1.49. Some of these products, and particularly the products in the range of 1.46-1.47, are made to match the RI of optical materials such as glass and fused silica and are characterized with very high strength and very strong adhesion to both glass and plastics.

The MY-130 Series of UV cured materials starting with n=1.32 offers the best available Critical Angles,

  • desirable for a variety of encapsulant, light guide and cladding applications.

The MY-133 and MY-132 are used for encapsulation of laser pump combiners, optical fiber splitters, couplers, Fiber Optic Connectors, V-Groove Light Guides, etc. to reduce light leakage.

  • The 1.33 materials match the refractive index of water which enables multiple bio-medical and bio-photonics applications.

MY-132 & 132A with n=1.32 improve significantly the critical angle and the NA.

  • Low modulus encapsulants through elastomeric higher viscosity cladding materials and up to the high modulus 1.375 materials.

MY-133 V-2000 & 1375 V-2000 are formulated specifically for Vytran re-coating systems.

MY-133MC is moisture cured for large open surfaces, spin coating (See Technical Notes below).

The MY-140 Series are based on special tough resins which were developed over a 10 year period for demanding applications of the Israeli Military.

  • They exhibit excellent adhesion to glass and other substrates.

MY-145 to MY-147 series are clear tough UV curable acrylic-urethane materials which have a refractive index of 1.45 -1.47 (cured).

  • They are supplied with a range of hardness from soft elastomeric gels to a high modulus and high Tg materials.
  • Excellent adhesion to various substrates including glass, ceramics, oxides, metals and plastics.

The OF Series products were designed specifically for cladding of Optical Fibers and compatibility with Drawing Towers.

  • The OF-133 (n=1.33) enables a breakthrough in the Numerical Aperture of High NA Optical Fibers.
  • OF-133 and OF-1375 represent a series of products designed specifically for cladding of Optical Fibers.
The QH Series targets Cladding for Light Guides in LCD BLU, Automotive Instrumentation Panels, and Solar PV Concentrators.

 

The PS-133 is a pressure sensitive adhesive that can be coated on optical substrates to bond optical laminates, retro-reflective films and tapes.
