High Temp & High Humidity Hydrogen Sulfide EC Sensor

Electro Optical Components introduces the new 4H2S-100HT Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) sensor, for applications in high temperature and high humidity environments, such as deserts, where the temperature can be as high as 60 °C.  H2S (hydrogen sulfide) poses a significant operational safety risk in the oil and gas industry. It can be encountered during drilling, production, refining, and transportation operations. In some areas where the climate can be hot and arid, detecting H2S leakage requires special consideration due to the potential impact of high temperatures on detection equipment, mainly the H2S sensor. This H2S sensor is designed to continue functioning in environments with temperatures up to 65 degrees C.

At high temperatures (up to 65 °C), the electrolyte of a traditional H2S sensor will either dry out in low humidity or leak out in high humidity to affect the sensor’s performance and life span. With SemeaTech’s new 4H2S-100HT sensor, the detection of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) in such extreme environments has become a reality.
