A Xavitech Pump has an electromagnet, a flat spring and a metal disc instead of a traditional DC motor. This is how it works inside a vacuum pump!
The electromagnet turns on and attracts the metallic disc.
The disc moves towards the electromagnet and pulls the rubber membrane.
The moving membrane creates a negative pressure, which closes the outlet valve and opens the inlet valve.
Air flows into the chamber from the inlet and through the open inlet valve.
The electromagnet is turned off and the disc is released.
The spring pushes the disc, and membrane away from the electromagnet.
A positive pressure is created which closes the inlet valve and opens the outlet valve.
The air inside the chamber is pushed out through the open outlet valve.
